This is not to knock on anyone’s mama’s meatloaf, especially the day before Mother’s Day, but this is seriously the best meatloaf we’ve ever had. Meatloaf recipes are a dime a dozen. Even with my culinary training, I had never found an ingredient combination that I really liked. They all seemed bland and tasteless, and I’ve never really cared for the ketchup glaze traditional with meatloaf recipes.  (Adapted from All Recipes)
- 3 lbs ground turkey
- 4 eggs
- 1 and 1/2 cups rice milk
- 1 and 1/3 crushed Rice Chex cereal (Gluten Free)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon rubbed sageÂ
- In a large bowl combine eggs, milk, salt, onion powder, sage and Chex cereal.
- Crumble ground turkey over mixture and combine thoroughly (meatloaf will be very loose and “soupy”).
- Place mixture in 5 quart crock pot and cook on low for 5 1/2 hours or until internal temperature reaches 170 degrees+.
