I am excited about the recipe we’re serving this Saturday evening for a couple of reasons: there are so many health benefits of eating salmon, it is my most favorite seafood recipe and it is one of my TOP 10 favorite recipes of all time. If you are always looking for more salmon recipes to add more of this healthy meat into your diet, this is definitely one I recommend trying.
The Chef does not care for it, which is more than fine with me because, as I told him, it just means more of it for me! Of course, since The Well-Fed Son and Daughter like it, too, I don’t get it all to myself. But that’s good with me, too, since I know how healthy it is for them to eat. Sure can’t complain about that!
I will say that it has some strong flavor, so if you are not fond of pungent flavors, it may not be for you. But give it at least one try because you just never know.
You will find the recipe here at Epicurious. The only modifications we made are The Chef did not include the red pepper as we do not prefer spicier foods, and he used lime juice instead of lemon/white wine vinegar. We substitute lime juice frequently due to our family’s food sensitivities. Enjoy!

Speaking of health benefits, did you know there are beauty benefits of eating salmon? I always think of the heart-health benefits but as I was doing some research realized there are even more good reasons to eat salmon regularly. The amount of money spent on beauty products, and especially when times are tough economically (click here to read about “The Lipstick Effect”), we know beauty is an important focus for women.
In light of this, here are some more salmon recipes I thought you might like to check out:
