Have you had your eyes checked lately? Dr. Tod McNab explains in this video by DoctorsofOptometry how often this should be done:
Did you know that sight or your perception of how the food you are being served appears when you are looking at it can affect how it tastes to you? One of the first questions we received from a reader through Ask The Chef was whether or not sight/presentation affects taste! You can read Chef John’s full answer here.
Also, you do not want to suffer the effects of eye strain from reading recipes or measuring things while in the kitchen preparing meals for your family! So if you have not had your eyes checked within the recommended time frame, make an appointment with your eye doctor and take good care of eyes. This is a good reminder for me because I am definitely overdue for a checkup myself.
Either way, if you are in need of a new pair of glasses, or perhaps you’d like a new style to go with a cute apron or new outfit you’ve recently bought, you can get a free pair from Firmoo (www.firmoo.com) through their First-Pair-Free program.
Firmoo gets new styles in regularly. Here is a sampling of their new arrivals during May 2013:
Basic Black

Each of these styles is also available in other colors. Click the picture of the pair you like to see those options.
If You Prefer Colorful Glasses…

Be sure to check out their full selection of new arrivals for many other colors available. The selection of frames you can get for free can be seen in the free glass section on their website. Many choices!
Firmoo also has great Sunglasses!

One thing I love about the Firmoo site is they show you how the glasses look on different people, and you can even upload a photo of yourself to get an idea of what they would look like on YOU.
So if you have never checked out Firmoo before, what are you waiting for? Head on over and take a look.
If you were going to get a free pair for your first order? Which would you choose?
Leave a comment with the style you like best!
Me? I love these:
I’m not sure I have a photo of myself looking straight-on into the camera, so I chose the brunette model to see how they would look on her. She has straight brown hair that goes past her chin… so do I. I think it’s time for me to get a new prescription and get a pair for myself!
