If you have visited our blog in the past two weeks, you know it has been down. Thank you for your patience while we resolved an unexpected turn of events and as we continue working towards getting it back to as close to where it was before it went down as possible. It has been an incredibly frustrating couple of weeks, and we still are not 100% sure what caused the problem. Our regular readers know the current appearance is nothing like what it was just a few weeks ago. The current appearance is due to our host having to disable our theme to get our blog posts and pages to come back up. They are saying some of our files got corrupted somehow, and we now will have to reinstall the theme we’ve been using since January. Fun work ahead, but we are extremely grateful, needless to say, that we did not lose very much of our content in this process. We will get things back to “normal” again slowly, because we don’t want to rush through it and cause another problem unintentionally. For our newer visitors who are interested, here is a snapshot from back in April:
That was the most recent snapshot I was able to get from Alexa, and since that time, we have updated our header. We are not sure if we will be able to get our most recent header back just yet. It may be some time before we can get it reinstalled, which we are not crazy about but it is what it is and we are focusing on the blessing that we did not end up losing our entire site.

Tip for Fellow Bloggers … Learn from our experience!
If you are a blogger, and especially if you have been blogging for any period of time and are moving towards, if not already, making an income through your blog, be sure you back up your blog regularly! This is something I had read about and knew I should have been doing but had not been doing regularly. Thankfully, it did not come to needing it, but I did have a backup from towards the end of June. Just as Tech Support was getting ready to see if my backup files were good, they found a file that was not corrupted. I think it was a miracle. I definitely believe in miracles, and I had surely been praying. Do you believe God cares about the details of our lives? I do. Did he have to answer my prayer this way? Of course not! He is God and if He chose to answer in a different way then we would be having a different discussion about how God’s answers aren’t always what we’d like for them to be. In this case, perhaps he bestowed His grace, once more, on us. As if He has not done enough for us, but hey, I am not going to argue with God about how much grace He wants to give me! If He never showed me another bit of grace, the grace He has shown already in my life has been more than I deserve. I know I deserve none of it and I am deeply humbled by and grateful for His amazing grace.
Have you experienced His grace in an unusual way lately? We would love to hear about it. Leave a comment and let us know about it. Or… if you have never experienced grace and would like to or would like to learn more about it, you can read more here!
And again, thank you for your patience as we work through getting our blog back “in order”!
