Get a #FREE ticket to a Weekend to Remember #BOGO #marriage

Let’s be honest here … marriage is hard!

Sometimes at least, right? I mean, there are times when things are going smoothly but life in general is full of ups and downs in every area.

If not hard, a good marriage definitely takes some “hard” work! And there are probably some couples who struggle more or more often than others. That’s just the nature of relationships and a variety of factors can play into that …. differences in personality, interests, how each person handles conflict, and the list goes on and on and on!

Yesterday one of my friends on Facebook, who is also the wife of the Music Minister at my church, shared about a promotion offered by Family Life for a free ticket to their Weekend to Remember Marriage Retreat. Her Facebook post read:

David and I have been to a Family Life marriage conference and we HIGHLY recommend them to ANY married couples!! Take advantage of this coupon code to get one ticket FREE!! It’s an investment worth making I promise!!

[She put a promotion code in the comments but when I went to the Family Life website, it was different so I figured I’d just share the one shown on their website as hers may have been for special tracking purposes or something.]

I have found myself thinking a lot lately about how often I hear about a new cancer diagnosis, but honestly, it’s regularly I also hear about marriage problems.

Don’t let your marriage become a statistic.

No matter where your marriage currently stands, a retreat away to focus on bettering it is always a good idea. But if your marriage is in a “down cycle” and really struggling right now, please consider something like this. And what better time than when you can take advantage of one person going for free?!

As the image shows, use promo code LOVE at checkout. You can get all of the details at the Family Life website here.

Thanks so much to my friend, Katy, for sharing about this. That is one of the things I love most about social media … being able to share information among friends that could help save a marriage. Please do the same and share this post with your friends, especially if you know of anyone struggling (perhaps send in a private message or email).

In closing … do you have any favorite books on marriage? Share if so in the comments. For those unable to get away to a retreat, maybe they will find a resource that will be helpful.

  1. This sounds like a great event. Thanks so much for sharing it! You are right, marriage takes hard work and sometimes it is hard to make time to do that when our busy lives get in the way. This sounds like a great opportunity to reconnect.

  2. My husband and I attended a marriage retreat a few years ago and it was definitely a game-changer! I would encourage all couples to attend one.

  3. Marriage demands a lot of give and take and many marriages die because the couple stop caring enough to go out. This is a wonderful gift and I hope the couple that needs it most wins.

  4. Marriage is definitely hard work. This year will be 14 years for us in May. We had our share of ups and downs but it sure made us stronger in the end.

  5. That sounds so interesting. The hubs & I are currently going for 1.5 years married, but 11.5 years together overall. Definitely had our ups & downs, but wouldn’t trade them for the world! Always a work in progress :)

  6. I am not married so this does not really pertain to me. Thankfully most of my friends (who are still married) are happy and content-some after 40 years of marriage! I definitely agree that something like this can only strengthen a relationship that is in possible trouble. Thank you for sharing.
