The flavor in this dish is so yummy and was a big hit with our pickiest eater! Having food sensitivities is tough, but even more so when different family members have different sensitivities.
We find that we eat lots of dishes repeating the same flavors since we have to avoid certain things so much as a family. It makes it a little easier, for the most part, to keep the different problem foods for each of us restricted, as needed, from the entire family’s diet. Otherwise we would get very little done but cooking every single day.
So as The Chef created this dish, one of his goals was to use a different type of flavor than those we normally use that would work with the recipe idea he had in mind. The sage was perfect. He also used gluten-free Bisquick and gluten-free cream of chicken soup, for those of you who also limit or avoid gluten.
We’re never sure at this stage in our children’s lives how a recipe is going to go over the first time. The Well Fed Daughter is far pickier than her brother ever has been, and far more stubborn, which of course makes for a fun *{note sarcasm!}* combination.
This dish though … a hit with them both. Thanks, Honey!
We hope you enjoy it, too.

That is an interesting testimony Veronica. It would be an interesting study on the typical American diet to see if it is contributing to the “picky eater epidemic”! lol

It’s really different … hope you both like it if you do give it a try! There have been things I thought my kids would not eat but if fixed differently or with other flavors they liked they loved it. So I’d say it’s worth a shot!
My boys are WICKED picky, especially my six year old. He won’t even TRY broccoli, but my nine year old is a little more agreeable about trying new things, so I might be able to get him to eat this. As for me, I would love it.

My daughter is definitely like that a lot with new things. But like with this one, there are occasions where she surprises me. And … hopefully, we’ll be past the picky eating very soon. Broccoli has always been one of their favorites though.
Sadly, I don’t think my picky eater would eat this! The chicken would turn him off. Surprisingly though, his favorite dish is broccoli cheese soup! (Just no chicken!)
I tried going to the book link for the cookbook (because I could totally use it) but the link is bringing up “page not found”. I would really love to check it out and see what I can find for my picky eater!
Thank you!
