Start your day off right with this easy overnight oatmeal, topped with ingredients known for their ability to improve brain function!

Ingredients
  • ⅓ cup oatmeal
  • ½ cup milk
  • wild blueberries
  • ½ apple
  • flax seeds
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl with a lid, combine oatmeal and milk. Cover and let sit in fridge overnight.
  2. Thaw blueberries in fridge overnight.
  3. The next morning, chop the apple and grind the flax seeds.
  4. Heat oatmeal in microwave if you like it warm, and top with blueberries, chopped apple and ground flax seeds (I used about ½ teaspoon to 1 teaspoon per person).
Notes
Adjust the amount of milk, depending on the consistency preference for oatmeal. Flax seeds should be ground just before using them to get the full nutritional benefit, so best to purchase them whole and grind yourself!
