Smoothie Showcase: 10 Smoothie Recipes from the CCN | And enter to #win a Magic Bullet!

One of my goals this year is to try some new smoothie recipes, maybe create some of my own! When I found out about this Magic Smoothie Contest to win a Magic Bullet, it was just the nudge I needed to begin pinning some smoothie recipes.

The Magic Bullet and The Nutribullet

Are you familiar with the Magic Bullet? I have been wanting one for a while. Our blender saw its last days some time ago so I started researching brands.

My friend and fellow blogger at Scrumptious Moms raved about the Nutribullet. Although, on the Nutribullet website, I found that it is not considered an “everyday blender” …. rather, it “completely breaks down ingredients into their most nutritious, most absorptive state.” Brilliant for those of us who are health conscious!

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better …. the company that the Nutribullet comes from also makes the Magic Bullet. So now not only can you make delicious drinks but you can also do things like chop and mince with its pulsing feature.

Enter the Contest!

Get on over to the contest page now to enter (it’s easy!) …. but hurry ~ the contest ends March 1!

And then be sure to check out some of these delicious smoothie recipes from my friends in The Daily Meal’s Culinary Content Network:

Smoothie Recipes from The Culinary Content Network of The Daily Meal

The Healthy Protein Smoothie

This recipe includes pineapple, peaches, mixed berries, gGreek yogurt, banana, agave nectar, ACAI powder and milk. It comes to us from Serena Palumbo by video!

The Nutty Lime Smoothie

Featuring almonds, almond milk, vanilla yogurt, banana, protein powder, key lime juice, nutmeg, cinnamon, cinnamon stick (optional), you will find the complete recipe at 2 Cookin’ Mamas.

Antioxidant Slushie

Knowing you are getting antioxidants with every sip is a good feeling! This slushie is made from tea, berries, raw honey, and Chia seeds. You can get the complete recipe from the Full Belly Sisters.

Watermelon, Cucumber and Lemon Slushie

Cucumbers, you may ask? I wouldn’t have thought to put them into a drink, but this one also comes to us from the Full Belly Sisters, who had a reader comment on how refreshing they taste in drinks! I like cucumbers and when I think about their flavor I can see how they would add that sense to a drink. Water kefir or another liquid such as coconut water is the only additional ingredient. Get the full recipe here.

Nutritious Breakfast Smoothie Recipe

I don’t think I’ve ever had a smoothie for breakfast but we are definitely going to be changing that soon. I have another recipe to share with you later after we’ve had a chance to try it for breakfast, so now we’ve got two options. This one has almond milk, yogurt, pineapple juice, strawberries, banana, frozen berries, spinach leaves, baby carrots, steel cut oats, flax seeds, chia seeds, and ice in it and comes to us from Homemade Food Junkie.

Cherry Berry Zucchini Smoothie

With all the talk of leafy greens in smoothies, I don’t think I ever would have thought about trying zucchini! This one also includes peaches, vanilla greek yogurt, ice cubes, honey, V8 V-Fusion Refreshers, and you will find the complete recipe at Home Maid Simple.

Pumpkin Spice Smoothie

This smoothie reminds me of my favorite time of year! Its stars are coconut milk, sweet apple cider, banana, pumpkin butter. Head over to Sweet and Spicy Monkey for the complete recipe.

Date Smoothie

My friend who first told me about the Nutribullet also is the one from whom I learned that dates are great as a sweetener. This would be a great way to try that out. The other ingredients include crushed ice, Greek yogurt, banana, almond milk, honey (if using unsweetened almond milk), vanilla, peanut butter, cinnamon, sea salt, toasted nuts and seeds. Pay OMG! Yummy a visit for the complete recipe.

Blueberry Smoothie

As healthy as blueberries are I have never been a huge fan. I like the tart ones but there is no way, really, to tell if one is tart until you have eaten it. I think smoothies are the way for me to get more blueberries into my diet. This one also has banana, fat free vanilla yogurt, flax seed meal, juice, and whipped cream (optional) in it. For the complete recipe, see Moore or Less Cooking.

Strawberry Coconut Green Smoothie

And finally, we have another smoothie from Home Maid Simple. Somehow with this one I think of the Incredible Hulk. Its ingredients are spinach, coconut juice, banana, and strawberries, and you can get the complete recipe for it here.

I can’t wait to try these! Which one are you most interested in trying first? It’s a tough choice for me!
